Alliance Recovery Center

Alliance Recovery Center in Decatur, Georgia (serving Decatur and the Atlanta metro area) was established as an outpatient opioid treatment facility in 1996. Alliance Recovery Center employs an experienced medical and counseling staff. Our Conyers, Georgia methadone treatment clinic opened in 2005 and shares the same commitment to methadone treatment and heroin recovery.

Alliance Recovery Center is accredited through CARF (the Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission). We are members of the Opioid Treatment Providers of Georgia and the National Opioid Treatment Clinicians Association, and are affiliated with AATOD and MHDDAD

Questions About Methadone Treatment

Can methadone cause long-term liver damage?
The liver easily metabolizes methadone. People with liver problems, including hepatitis can safely take methadone with appropriate medical supervision.

Is methadone harder to "kick" than heroin?
Methadone is designed to be tapered off of. Due to the fact that methadone is long-lasting withdrawal symptoms may last longer, but are milder than "cold-turkey" withdrawal. Medically supervised withdrawal is the most safe and effective form of detoxification.

Does methadone ruin your teeth and bones?
Methadone does not ruin your teeth or bones. Aches and pains that are experienced may be a result of mild withdrawal symptoms, the natural process of aging and/or past physical neglect.
